Will the AHV pension be paid out automatically or do I have to do something?

In order to receive your AHV pension, you must register with the compensation office where you last paid contributions approximately six months before you retire. Early retirement, partial retirement and deferred retirement must also be reported to the responsible compensation office in good time. If you live abroad, you must register for the AHV pension with the Swiss compensation office.
